Moanbaun Wood lies on a plateau on high exposed ground. The trail is mostly level with a few small inclines as it follows forest track through this beautiful sylvan setting. The highest point gives fine views of the Nagle and Galtee Mountains and also the Ballyhoura Hills.

Lucy from Cork

About 20 minutes from Cork, Buggy friendly, parking is virtually nonexistent, there was a constant drone of motor bikes or karts in the distance. A fairly bland trail.

Diarmuid from Cork

Dogs are most definitely allowed on this trail. I go here regularly with my dog and meet lots of fellow dog walkers. There's even a sign asking people to keep their dogs on leads.

The trail is all gravelled with only small gradiants and can be split into a shorter 45 minute walk if you don't want to do the full distance.
