This walk follows forestry roadways and woodland tracks through the wood, zigzagging uphill to a section where there are fine views over Carlow Town and the River Barrow and descending more gently to close the loop.

Lovely walk through the woods. Nicely maintained trail and lots of lovely meandering side trails. Loads of bluebells!! There was no entry for Clogrennane Wood in Google Maps (and the signpost in Ballinabranna was turned the wrong way), but the trailhead is just past the Clogrennane lime works.
