Damian from Galway

A stunning walk that begins and ends at Fanore Beach. Some great locations along the Caher River to stop and watch the water flowing downstream. Including the Khyber Pass as it snakes its way up through the valley. Follow the red arrows throughout especially where the trail begins its upward ascent, the scenic views from the summit are mesmerizing. Fanore Beach, the Aran Islands and Fanore village all emerge into view including the partial remains of Faunarooska Castle. This is a 3-4 hour glorious walk that is not too taxing.
