This trail starts at the arboretum in the village of Broadford. This was formally a limestone quarry now planted with native Irish trees and shrubs. It follows a minor road with farmland on both sides. There are some stunning views on your descent down through a working farm, crossing through fields and wooded areas. The trail brings you to the historical site of Killagholehane Church. The walk ends back in the village of Broadford.

A gem of a walk here.Well done to all involved as this is a very well signposted circular walk with stunning views of West Limerick and at its highest point all of the surrounding counties of Cork,Kerry,Clare and Tipp. Route takes you over quiet tarmac roads, small boreens and a fenced field trek.Liked the comment book on the route and the fairy village.Good workout on a beautiful day. Will be back.

Mike from Limerick

A fine circular walk. Note however, that the first approx 6.5 km is entirely on tarmac. Pleasant walking with expansive views over Limerick and on to Musheramore and the Kerry Paps. The walk then continues over farm roadways and designated field walkways to rejoin the roadway near a well maintained ruined churchyard, with informative map board. Well signposted throughout, with the exception of the crossroads at the outskirts of Broadford village on the return, which was completely obscured by vegetation. A good workout.
