Swimming

We all have a relationship with the water. Our own perspective, our own ambition, our own goal. From our Olympic athletes, through to our Sunday morning swimmers, to the young children taking their first tentative paddles in the pool.

Swim Ireland’s ambition is to ‘Get Ireland Swimming’.

How can I get involved?

Swim Ireland provide a number of programmes to those new to swimming and open water swimming. We work with LSPs and pools across the country on programmes such as Learn to Swim for children and adults, Swim for a Mile for those that want to get back into the water after a break or build themselves up for a certain distance and Swim for a Mile Open Water which is a bridging programme from the pool to the open water.
