Cycling has never been more accessible and many people find it a fun and low impact way to get fitter and get their 30 minutes of exercise five days a week.

Some people haven’t sat on a bike since their childhood, though that doesn’t mean that cycling isn’t for them.

Here you’ll find a step-by-step guide to help you get back on your bike and all the resources required to ensure that you can enjoy all the benefits of cycling.

All exercises on the Your Personal Best section of the Sport Ireland website are intended for people of all fitness levels. However, if it has been a while since you’ve exercised or you have any concerns about your health please seek medical advice before starting a new exercise routine.

You can still cycle during Covid Level 5 restrictions, but it is important that everyone adheres to the guidelines and remains within 5km of home.
