Fergus from Cavan

An easy walk this on for the most part a very wide and secure underfoot surface. There is approx. 0.5km near the start that is rough under foot with plenty of exposed roots. The first half of the trail has lots of access points to view the lovely lake but for the most part the forest is dense. At one point you get a fleeting view of Clough Oughter Castle. A pleasant ramble.
