Ballycuggaran - Crag Wood Walk
PLEASE NOTE: As of 25th August 2021 the harvesting operations that were taking place in this wood are completed with the exception of the removal of some residual timber stacked on roadsides. The road itself will be busy during weekdays as these stacks are removed. Please comply with signage requesting people not to climb on the timber stacks. The area affected is mainly north-west, west and south of Feenlea Mountain. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
This walk follows forest road, forest track and minor road through dense forest and open hillside on the shoulders of Feenlea Mountain and Crag. The beautiful expanse of Lough Derg lies below you. To get the best views walk the trail in an anti-clockwise direction.
