Jogging is a great way of getting physically active and improving your health – and a great way of reaching your goal of 30 minutes of moderate physical exercise five days a week.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never run for exercise before, all the resources you need to get started are available here.
The key is to start with modest goals, mixing running with walking, and building up slowly. This isn’t about preparing to run a marathon – this is about getting fit at your own pace.
All exercises on the Your Personal Best section of the Sport Ireland website are intended for people of all fitness levels. However, if it has been a while since you’ve exercised or you have any concerns about your health please seek medical advice before starting a new exercise routine.
