Kelly Brady named October 2025 Sportswoman of the Month

The Irish Times Sport Ireland Sportswoman of the Month award for October has been awarded to footballer,  Kelly Brady.
 
Even before October's FAI Cup final, it had already been a remarkable season for Kelly Brady who joined Athlone Town back in January. 

The 23-year-old finished as the league's top scorer in her debut campaign, helping the club retain its title, and then she bagged herself a hat-trick in the final against Bohemians to ensure Athlone completed their first ever league and cup double. 

The US-born striker, who represented Ireland at underage level, was rewarded with an invitation from Republic of Ireland manager Carla Ward to train with the senior squad. She now has her eye on a senior cap.
