Having been Ireland's leading female amateur golfer for two years, Co Down native Beth Coulter produced a remarkable start to her professional career with a victory in her first outing and the runners-up spot in her second.

The former Arizona State student won the Irish Women’s Challenge Tournament in Malahide last month, an event that is part of the primary feeder tour to the top tier European Tour. Just a week later she almost made it two-in-a-row when she lost out in a play-off at the CSK Steel Women’s Open in Denmark. Those two results lifted Coulter to fifth in the order of merit.

Congratulations to Beth Coulter our Sportswoman of the Month for July.
