Spotlight: Donegal Sports Partnership
The Her Moves programme with Donegal Sports Partnership is a year-long initiative launching in January 2026, which is designed to empower teenage girls, especially those from marginalised backgrounds, to engage in fun, inclusive physical activity.
The target group includes teenage girls with disabilities, those from ethnic minorities, asylum seekers and refugees, individuals from the Traveller and Roma communities, and girls from the LGBTQI+ community.
Through partnerships with four Youth Reach centres, the programme will offer diverse activities such as hiking, yoga, and equine therapy, all tailored to build confidence and promote self-expression.
It places strong emphasis on giving girls a voice and choice, ensuring activities are accessible, relevant, and enjoyable for all.
