Sailing

Irish Sailing is the national governing body for sailing, powerboating and windsurfing in Ireland. We have over 100 affiliated and approved clubs and centres around the country where people are happy to help you get out on the water.

We have a saying – sailing is a sport for all, a sport for life. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are, there’s a boat for you. Whether you want to cruise gently and watch nature along our beautiful coastlines, or get an adrenalin rush from high speed racing, we can get you started. And you don’t need to own a boat!

How can I get involved?

“Try Sailing” is Irish Sailing’s programme to get people out on the water. Whether you’ve never sailed before, or would like to return to sailing after a break, we’re here to help you decide what kind of boat you want to sail, and where you can get started.
