SOCCER: SPORTS AGAINST RACISM IRELAND

Sports Against Racism Ireland (S.A.R.I) wishes to announce details of its 11th Annual Inter-Cultural 7-A-Side Soccer Festival on September 8th and 9th at the Garda and Camogie Sports Ground in Phoenix Park, Dublin.

48 men’s teams from all over the world will compete against each other over the two day event in their quest to lift the SARI Cup and Plate.  Players from Brazil, Poland, Somalia, Romania, China, Italy, UK and Mongolia are joined by a host of homegrown teams from across the four provinces for an extravaganza of football and entertainment.

Last year’s success of the inaugural Women’s Soccer Tournament takes centre stage again on Sunday as eight teams with top class players from around the country and the UK battle it out for the SARI Women’s Cup.

This year’s event also welcomes the introductory of the SARI/FAI 5 a-side Soccerfest Tournament on Sunday from 2-5pm for boys, girls and mixed teams for U/12s and U/14s.

The action doesn’t stop there for spectators and players alike as music, dancing and entertainment run throughout the two day event, acts include:

  • Brazilian Capoeira performance and workshops
  • Kids gymboree and face painting
  • International female and male dancers from the Punjab
  • Irish traditional music and much, much more…

Entrance to the event is FREE and matches commence at 10am on Saturday 8th and 11am on Sunday 9th September.
