Showjumping: Irish Team Named for Dublin Horse Show

Irish Team Manager Robert Splaine named a squad of five riders for next month’ s Failte Ireland Dublin Horse Show which runs at the RDS from August 8th to 12th.

The squad comprises of Captain Shane Carey, Commandant Gerry Flynn, Conor Swail, Cian O'Connor and Cameron Hanley.  The team for the Agha Khan Cup on August 10th will be chosen from this quintet.

Despite a disappointing 7th place in the Swedish Nations Cup last weekend, Ireland still holds pole position with 69 points, 9 points ahead of second place Denmark in the FEI Nations Cup League table.

The Irish team comprising of Richard Howley, Shane Connell, Emily Turkington and Jessica Burke won the bronze medal behind Britain and the Netherlands at the European Pony Show Championships in Germany.
