Muller Announces busy build up to Eurohockey Nations Championships

Irish Hockey women's Head coach, Gene Muller has revealed a number of key fixtures and camps in his Senior Women’s hockey calendar for the upcoming months. Having just finished a gruelling ten day camp which encompassed six matches out in South Africa, Muller shows he does not plan to rest long before the next senior camp.

The women are set to play France and South Africa before they compete in an international tournament which will take place mid June in Ireland, commenting on his schedule Muller stated; “We will try to compete at least once a month in the build-up for the European championships.  One of the main considerations in designing the competition program is getting a training-to-competition ratio that allows for improvement through training and regular checks on progress through matches.”

His schedule which shows plans for a number of competitive matches is well peppered with training camps, this schedule will enable Muller to build on from his South African camp to ensure that his squad are in prime condition for Manchester next August.
