London 2012 Paralympian Seلn Baldwin, is set to compete at the key event on the 2014 International Para Shooting calendar; the Paralympic (IPC) Shooting World Championships in Suhl, Germany from July 18th - 26th inclusive.

The Kildare man, who is a member of the Irish Defence Forces, is one of 266 shooters from 53 countries who will compete at the event; a record number making it the most competitive affair on the Para shooting calendar this year.

He will compete in five separate events in the SH1 class* (detailed below), aiming to make finals in his preferred events, specifically the 10m Air Rifle Standing (R1), the 50m Rifle 3 position (R7. At the most recent IPC World Cup in the USA in June Seلn achieved a fourth place in the R7 event, and a sixth in the R1, but the field is likely to be considerably larger and ever more competitive in Suhl with all the world's best assembled.
