Hosted by Swim Ireland, Aquatics for Teens is a fun, inclusive programme designed to encourage more young people aged 10–17 to get active as part of European Week of Sport. Catering for all abilities, including ethnic minority groups and young people with additional physical and intellectual support needs, the programme offers opportunities to try open water swimming, diving, swimming and inclusive/disability swimming. Through targeted initiatives such as the Open Water Programme for Transition Year students, Teen Diving Camp, Swim & Gym, Splashes and Lashes, Dual Sport Activity Camp and Aquatics For All, the programme aims to engage up to 100 teenagers in enjoyable, non‑competitive activity and help more young people find their place in sport.
