Limerick Greenway

PLEASE NOTE that the Limerick Greenway has reopened as far as Abbeyfeale following major remedial works, meaning that it is currently open between Rathkeale and Abbeyfeale.

Remedial works are still being carried out on the short section between Abbeyfeale and Kilmorna which is expected to re-open on 31st August 2021.

This trail takes walkers and cyclists along the redeveloped line of the old railway through the countryside between Rathkeale and Abbeyfeale in West Limerick, passing through Ardagh, Newcastle West, Barnagh and Temleglantine. There are many items of historical interest along the route.
