Sport Ireland and Motor Cycle Union of Ireland jointly announced today that Jordan McCord has committed an anti-doping rule violation.

Mr McCord, a motorcyclist, tested positive for a metabolite of drostanolone and a metabolite of cocaine in a sample collected in In-Competition Testing on October 25th, 2025, contrary to Articles 2.1 and 2.2 of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules. Drostanolone is an anabolic agent as set out in S1.1 of the Prohibited List and cocaine is a Substance of Abuse.

On December 11th, 2025, Sport Ireland notified Mr McCord that he was provisionally suspended.

On January 15th, 2026, Sport Ireland formally charged the athlete with the ADRV. No response was received from the athlete to this charge.

The sanctions imposed include a period of Ineligibility (or ban) of four years with effect from December 11th, 2025. The athlete’s period of ineligibility will expire at midnight on December 10th 2029.

In addition, all results obtained by the athlete in competitions from (and including) October 25th, 2025, until the commencement of the athlete's provisional suspension on December 11th, 2025, are disqualified, with all the resulting consequences including forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes during the period in question.

The reasoned decision is available at Sanctions | Sport Ireland.
