Sport Ireland has partnered with UCC and Student Sport Ireland to deliver the Global Design Challenge 2021.  The Global Design Challenge for Sport and Physical activity is a free challenge to find ambitious, innovative ideas to get people physically active.

There are development grants of up to €10,000 for the best ideas as well as mentoring from IGNITE, UCC’s international award winning business incubation programme, for the top 25 submissions.

Partners and supporters from the world of sport will also be watching, and hoping to find innovations that they can support and turn into reality.

The challenge is to design innovative ways of increasing participation in sport and physical activity in an inclusive, sustainable and fun way!

It is being led by University College Cork, in association with Sport Ireland, under UNESCO patronage and supported by national, European and international sports and physical activity related organisations.

The challenge runs from June 21st-June 27th and submission requirements are available on the website, along with webinars and supporting materials to help you. Registration for the Global Design Challenge closes this Sunday, 20th June.
