Resources

Sport Ireland has facilitated a number of webinars and panel discussions on various topics relating to women in sport. The webinars are aimed at women and girls and those who support them in sport.

Re-watch the webinars below.

Menopause & Physical Activity Webinar

Dr Diane Cooper and Irene Clark discuss everything menopause related, from symptoms to changes in the body, nutrition and exercise-related guidelines. Whether you’re trying to get back exercising, or an active female now experiencing symptoms of menopause, this webinar will provide tips, guidelines and engaging interviews to help you on your journey. This webinar was delivered during Women in Sport Week 2023.

Respect & Allyship

To mark International Women's week 2022, Sport Ireland Coaching's Adrian Byrne hosted a webinar with Niamh Buffini, Cliodhna O'Connor and Sue Ramsbottom to discuss their experience as women who have navigated a space where certain bias or perceptions have existed, or still exist, or where men have been or currently are an ally of women and support them in their achievements.

Women traditionally make up less numbers when it comes to coaching and officiating. This is even more so the case when women break the mold and coach/officiate male athletes or sports. This narrative is changing and speeding up every day. Join the conversation to find out how you can be an ally of and to women in officiating and coaching and help excel this momentum.
