Canoeing Ireland - #BeActive Paddle Day

On Saturday September 24th 2022, Canoeing Ireland will host it’s third #BeActive Paddle Day. Canoeing Ireland will host the #BeActive Paddle Day as part of EWOS 2022 to provide paddling activities to members of the public. The #BeActive Paddle Day will involve running beginner trial sessions to promote safe and enjoyable outdoor water sports experiences.

To make paddle sports accessible to all cohorts of the community during European Week of Sport 2022 in a safe and fun environment, Canoeing Ireland will work with a variety of partners, including clubs, Outdoor Education Centres, and Local Sports Partnerships.

EWOS 2022 will provide an excellent opportunity to remind participants of the joy of outdoor sport and in particular the fun and wellbeing experienced through the medium of paddle sports. With approximately 100 clubs/training hubs taking part, this event will target 2,000 members of the public to be introduced to a safe paddling experience.
