Irish Amateur Wrestling Association and Sport Ireland annouce Anti-Doping Rule Violation

The Irish Amateur Wrestling Association and Sport Ireland today jointly announced that the Irish Sport Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel determined that Lisa Farrelly committed an anti-doping rule violation.

Lisa Farrelly has been sanctioned by a period of ineligibility of 4 years commencing on the 4th of December 2019. In a doping control test immediately following her participation at the Irish Open on the 2nd of November 2019, she provided a sample which tested positive for the presence of the following prohibited substances: epi-stanozolol glucuronide (stanozolol); 4-methylhexan-2-amine (methylhexaneamine), and 5-methylhexan-2-amine (1,4-dimethylpentylamine). Ms. Farrelly’s results from the 2nd of November 2019 are also disqualified.

The hearing was held under Article 8 (Disciplinary Process) of the Irish Anti-Doping Rules and this announcement is made pursuant to Article 15 (Public Disclosure) of the Rules.
