Some of the signs have gone. If you’re doing the Loop for the first time, take a map. It’s easy to miss a turn and go out of your way if you don’t have a map. I ended up on the N67 at Moyasta. Fortunately I have internet cover and could use my mobile to navigate back to the Loop. One of the early signposts shows to go straight ahead. You actually have to turn left and follow the vehicle track, otherwise you end up in the middle of a boggy field. There is a misleading track of beaten grass; so I wasn’t the first. At least three ‘T’ junctions are not signed. I trusted to instinct and got it right.

Very well signposted and a real pleasure as it brings you into the heart of the bog. Very interesting flora and fauna, even the occasional solitary turfcutter may be seen. The trail is flat but wet and muddy in part, I would recommend good boots to keep the feet dry. Parking is easy at the trailhead by the church. Follow the arrows, no need for a map. There is a nice finish with a walk the length of the village. Hope you enjoy.
