Underwhelmed. Flat. Uninteresting views. Midges. Flytipping. Very muddy track in parts. And quite a lot of walking on the N67. You can do better.

Our group, Ennis Macra na Feirme completed this walk on Sunday July 16th 2017. A really lovely trail and walk. Be careful of walking on main road as cars go very fast but once you turn off the main main road, we met no traffic. Very well signposted. Lovely to walk adjacent to the bogs and see the turf standing. Nice to emerge back to the village and to Doonbeg castle and to learn about the history. Finished with a lovely meal at The Igoe Inn. Very good and friendly service.

I walked the trail last week on a mild and dry day. It was a very pleasurable walk along minor roads and no elavation differences. I really enjoyed the walk and would recommend if you are looking for an easy stroll.
