On forest road and path, this trail skirts around the wooded Ards Hill and runs out along the edge of Binngorm Point, giving great views onto Sheep Haven Bay. You can stroll on several sandy beaches, and keep a look out for the standing stone.

Fergus from Cavan

Combined this trail with parts of the Red Trail to extend it to 6km. The combination of forest trails, glorious sandy beaches and views over Sheephaven Bay were spectacular and unusual for a trail of this kind. Well worth the admission fee of €5. Apart from a missing sign post near the start (which caused some confusion!) the trail has excellent signage. Ongoing forestry work has left a small part of the trail in a very poor condition but I'm sure this will be rectified. A great way to spend the afternoon.
