Sport Ireland and the Irish Judo Association jointly announced today that Lisa Farrelly has committed an anti-doping rule violation.
Ms Farrelly committed a violation of article 10.10.1 of the 2021 Irish Anti-Doping Rules by participating in competitions and activities while subject to a period of ineligibility.
Ms Farrelly has now been sanctioned with an additional period of ineligibility of four years, which will start on December 5, 2023. This period will run consecutively to the original period.
The deadline for any appeal by Ms Farrelly has passed.
